(LOCATION: Muskegon MI) The Egg Harbor 38 Convertible is an upscale sport fisherman that is designed to fish in style and do it successfully. Enclosed bridge, open cockpit, and upscale cabin make her a fisherman with all the comforts of home.
The bridge features hard top with full enclosure, centerline helm, twin helm seats, and guest seating forward. The helm features a full complement of electronics including: auto pilot, Raytheon radar, depth finder, compass, DSC VHF radio, colorscope, and intercom. The fishermen will appreciate the down riggers, rocket launchers, prep station, tackle center, spreader lights, and live well. The cockpit features custom awning, transom door, and swim platform. The foredeck is equipped with stainless steel bow rail, bow pulpit with stainless steel roller, anchor, and windlass.
This Egg Harbor 38 features a luxurious interior with high gloss teak cabinetry and trim with designer furnishings that include custom carpet and window treatments. An L-shaped settee fills the starboard side of the salon along with a teak hi-lo table, and a barrel chair sits port side. There's entertainment center with HDTV and JVC sound system forward. Port side is a full galley with teak cabinets, solid surface counter top with integrated sink, a refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, microwave/convection oven, electric range with oven, galley storage, and breakfast bar serving the salon. Across from the galley is a large convertible dinette with teak table.
The forward stateroom features an island berth with under-berth and bulkhead storage, and hanging locker. The head compartment includes VacuFlush head, mirrored vanity with sink, and shower stall.
Two reverse cycle HAC units keep the interior comfortable and a Kohler generator provides off-shore electrical power.
Power is provided by twin 420-hp Caterpillar diesel engines that provide a cruising speed of 25 knots and a top speed around 29 knots.
